Hi
I have just bourght a Torn E. b receiver from 1940, I have not received the receiver yet, but I have a few questions for you guys who use their Torn's.
I was told the receiver works, but I still have to have a powersupply for it, I have found a diagram for the powersupply at the following link:
http://81.191.136.233/radio/old/german1/power2v.pdf
As I am an electronics technician I should have no difficulties in building the suggested powersupply, but do any of you guys have any other recommandations?
I also need the 5 pole power plug for the powerconnection to the torn, any suggestions or do I have to make one myself?
Regarding the antenna is it enough to ground the G pole with a metal rod in the ground and then use a 10 - 15 meter wire under the roof of my house(about 8 meters above the ground) as the antenna?
The receiver comes without the cover lid, but with all the internal screening lids present. I have posted a picture of the receiver.
I hope you can help, as this is my first receiver, I have been collecting german nachrichten stuff for many years, but finally decided to get my first radio.
