Great picture funny all my luftwaffe visor caps have realy chunky cap cords, just pure coincidence..... I think in the photo the cap is a small size and the cords are low on the peek ..

Cords were actually sold with various widths from 7 up to 10 mm.
In many catalogues they go from 7, 8 and 9 mm. But I have seen mentioned also 10 mm.
If I find the catalogue I will give a note about it.
The swastikas may have been removed for law purposes.
