Hello folks. This piece surfaced a while back amongst a larger lot of both period and post-war militaria...It appears for all intent and purpose, to be basically unworn, however I'm not at all convinced that it's a period cap, as the entire lot was a mixed bag..No makers mark of any kind, soutache sewn and ends visible beneath the fold, un-painted grommets, and an almost "Kordsamt" look to the backing of both the roundel and Adler...Anyone care to impart their thoughts as regards this particular cap? Appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Judging by the blueish color of the wool, I believe it's an oder reproduction made with post-war swiss wool.

Agree cap is a fake along with the insignia.
