KM tellermutze/donald duck cap opinions

Hi everyone,

Please let me know what you think of the insignia and overall construction of this donald duck cap. It isn't the typical removable top type, nor is the top made of the usual heavy wool. Private purchase perhaps? I've seen one other WWI tellermutze made of the same material with a similar construction. I'll try to add a few better photos later today. Anyway let me know what you guys think.

Appears Bundesmarine with a bogus stamp.
Also, note that the sweatdiamond was removed.

If you have the option to return it, do it. Fake BAW stamp in a place that clearly had a sweatshield before is enough reason for concern.
Materials also do not look anything like they should.

IMO typical DDR postwar with plastic shield removed .
Stamping clearly added and wrong .
Even the band is suspicious ...

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm returning it today. Agreed on all points made. This was an impulse buy because it's a size 60, but after getting a look at it in hand I knew I needed a few more opinions.
