looking at this visor. lots of damage but nice piece. anyone here have any icon reweaving? i/m talking to a reweave at the moment.

Can it be done with that type of wool ? And where would you get the extra material. Way to time consuming

yes. i got tunnel vision on account of the unit.

anybody out these got a wool pz em/nco up for grabs. i'm trying to match, as closely as possible, the visor to a waffenrock i have.

To the original question, a professional reweaver can repair the holes if there is enough material on the interior to retrieve threads from. A "fuzzy" nap would be impossible to reprocess, the more fine the finish the better the results. However "real" reweaving is very time consuming and expensive. I have had a couple of wool items repaired but the cost ran $100 for two small moth bites. Anything can be done but cost effectiveness is another question.

A relatives cap, maybe. A collectible.....is it worth another $3-400 to repair?
