So the consensus was insignia was good but cap was bad I believe

The insignia are interesting actually.

They are original but I suspect they have been chemically treated so that they match each other. There is something artificial about the patina that I really don't like.

Oh, and being made of zinc would make them highly unusual for an SS Officers black visor. Another red flag.

Looks like a Deschler skull and an Assmann eagle.

The eagle is an double marked RZM SS 499/42 M1/72

The skull is a dubious "unmarked chler"
