Infantry, dyed green.

Is it possible that a period attempt was made as a conversion from white to green for an infantry division or regiment that was converted in 1942/42 to a jaeger regiment such as the 5th was ..Billbert

In addition to the piping appearing to be dyed is the cap band dark green or black? The material itself looks strange.

jäger piping ,admin was most of the time a offizier .

Never seen admin NCO...indeed always officer...probably white inf dyed to jaeger
but came out too dark...Back in the day they didn't care as much as us collectors!
