Re-applied insignia hurts its value; I'd rather have one that hasn't been de-Nazified. Wait, I do have one.

Seems pricey.

I agree and its incomplete and mediocre. I like the second model style caps but have never accepted why they shot up in price so much as theyre not scarce or even historically that significant. I bought my first one at an early Max show in StL. for $165. These caps pushing $2K is a crock of BS.
