How common was it for M42's to have trapezoids?

Not as common as the standard T or 2 piece insignia but they were certainly manufactured using a trapazoid.(I have seen several)

It looks to be a casual self-done addition compared to typical added bills with stiffeners like regular M-43 caps have. Looks period done. There was a thread sometime back about trapezoids on M-42 caps.
