Yeah that was cool of them to allow that.
I'm thinking those stains could be old blood..
I see more fieldcaps in the background, any other interesting ones?

The stains look to be oil, if it was blood I would expect to see it on the inside on the liner
The other caps were a repo Pz em cap and repo Luftwaffe Officer cap. The DAK cap was the only original piece in the cabinet . Items on loan from a local collector, I thought it prudent not to comment on the other caps

Thanks Mark, love the naming in the cap.

Not a cap, however this single sided vehicle recognition flag is one of my all time favourite NZ DAK bring backs, also oil stained.

If only it could talk..
