I think this Waffenfarbe is usually Air Traffic Control, not assigned to Felddivisions until 1942.

ATC was more of a Panzergrenadier green.
It is at auction being sold as ground troops.

In any event, I am interested in opinions on authenticity.

I personally stay clear of green smooth undersides on the visors of Luft hats. However I think this one is oK. J

Is it known if there are any markings on the inside of the sweatband? Maker known by other examples?

From the arc of black remnants of glue or leather on the left hand side of the underside of the visor, it appears that the visor was in something else at one time.

Stonemint, I actually thought about emailing you in regards to this cap yesterday!

I wanted your take on it as there are a couple details that I am not completely comfortable with.

So we now know that Peterson & Co. was a uniform retail shop, not a hat manufacturer.

I believe the green piped hat posted here is authentic and the actual manufacturer to be possibly Clemens Wagner or G.A Hoffmann.

                          ?

The label in the LW jacket strikes me as perhaps being added. Is it off-center(?) and the crude hand stitching just doesn't look professionally done IMO.

I'm merely showing another label that matches the one in the cap.
