Hi guys, here's a very non textbook police cap, could it be war time field made or is it just post war made from original cloth?

can nobody find any problems with this cap, when held in hand it seems fine and is actually quite a nice cap, I was just concerned about the rough manufacture. Would you think it's safe to say it's probably field or perhaps being police locally made?

IMO a repro ... hand locally made .

Agree, not an original cap.

Thanks Nick, yes I have changed my opinion from repro to field made and back again several times, it's always a tough call on these non text book examples

Thanks Antonio, I think we posted at the same time there, so looking more likely reproduction, my main concern was the lining.
