Help with visor

What can you tell me about this hat? It belongs to a guy whose dad brought it home from WWII. It was falling apart so I just took two quick pictures. Thanks for any help.

Nice but heavy battered contract visor.

Otto and Wilhelm ALM established their company in 1918 in Tempelhof-Schoneberg, Brunhildstrasse 5; from 1937 in Kreuzbergstrasse 30 (not far from their former address) and finally from 1939 in Berlin-Mitte, Munzstrasse 15.
