German Oversees cap?

This isn't right is it? The material seems off as well as the hole on the side. Plus the Insignia looks re applied. I've only seen one with the holes on the side and I think it was fake but I could be wrong. The price is low on this one if it is original.

That's why I asked , I've just never owed one with the vent holes on the side. I'm not great with cloth stuff. Had the inside not looked right I would've skipped right over it.

Vent holes are common on these OS cap, red soutache for artillery.

The presence of vent holes (grommets) IS the norm for EM and NCO standart issue manufactured Heer M34 sidecaps.
The lack of grommets for those mostly indicates a private purchase origin if they are original, wich is seldomly encountered comparing with officers M38 sidecaps.
This side cap is certainly original, but i can't say for sure if insignias are period applied, more pics about this point would help.
