agree with others - Transport. This hat was worn and piping has probably faded some.

You can fold down the side panels and look at the inside front where the soutache is attached.

Here the soutache has not been exposed from the sun, no wear and close to no stains. The color often is more or less perfectly preserved.

It's a good point and I can see there is no colour variation so no fading to the Soutache on the outside.

It's definitely light blue and could just as easily be Nachschub (Supply)
