    Welhausen--there is no substitute!

OK, I know many will disagree with me, but Welhausen visors are my personal fave.
In terms of materials, cut, aesthetic shape (and the myriad of options available to the purchaser), WW visors just can't be beat:

Agreed, Welhausen made fabulous hats, so did Paul Kaps, my personal favorite.

                Thanks guys.
It is in the old Moran book, and I had been after it for many years, and the owner finally decided to let it go--it was definitely worth the wait!

Kneebuckling. The German capmakers art at its best.

                      Superb cap.

I've never understood the obsession with EREL.

Cool hat, certainly - and love the form.
But have to admit - for me, there is just something about the Lubstein sattelform that can't be beat.

Kinda like discussing single malt scotch and dissing a 12 yr old Glen Livet which still rates as one of the best. Pretty sure we’re splitting hairs when talking about the great German cap makers, each is inspiring.

Stoney - thanks for sharing photos of this beautiful visor. Simply gorgeous on all accounts.

I wish I could find a Welhausen of this quality/condition but for LW.
