    SS Officers Visor for review...

I would like other opinions on this SS officers visor.

Not in perfect condition but I think it has a real chance....

The skull is a known fake (with a lot of makeup).
The eagle has "the fake smile" and other red flags.
        Definitely

Artificially aged Frankenstein with a Pekuro lining from a civil cap.

The eagle looks to be a late war Assmann zinc, the skull is an artificially aged fake.

                ...and only £2000 estimate.

It's available at the same auction house BenVK grabbed the cap he reshaped! Goes to show how fickle these places can be...

It might go for more than that, I've seen plenty of money being thrown away on fakes at auction and it's a daily occurrence on ebay..

You're not wrong, I'm sure it will go for well over the estimate. I have just enquired after a repro side cap and another cap (£20-30 estimate). For twenty quid I thought it would look okay in a photo, but they have just sold for about £800 and £1400 including vat. This auctioneer even gave a fair warning and a repro estimate!

That is a BRD Pekuro lining.

Even the moth holes look fake on this one. The bogus newspaper and initials pins are old tricks.

People are definitely wasting a lot of money on crap these days. Looks like time for another nasty recession to get people thinking clearly again.
