Nebel is the color of the board and signal blitz.... wine red. They dont match the hat which is carmine.

            Robt.

I agree. Nice find. Love the Werfer Erkennungsmarke. Straight from the family so it is a set regardless of what we modern day collectors might believe. Sometimes they obtained something that was close to the regulation color (just like Schutzen Reg, GJ, Jaeger, Pz Gren green colors all mixed up). Nebel was probably a hard to find farbe for an off the shelf eigentumsstuck (private purchase item) such as this schirmmutze with wool top and gabardine bottom trim...Very cool!

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

In my humble opinion, I think that by focusing on the color of the pipings, we are neglecting the constructive characteristics of this visor. I see many staples. I remember, from an old thread, that Schellenberg was one of the few that used the staples to hold the cardboard together on their early visors. The overwhelming majority of makers sewn together the cardboard ends.

                    Any observation and evaluation about?
