    NCO visor chin strap ?

    Gentlemen,

I just wanted to confirm that this is a 3rd Reich period chin strap for an NCO visor? Thank you in advance for the assistance.

    The first thing I noticed . . .

JR - For me, the "buckle" device does not appear similar to the kind I am familiar with. It's been a while since I looked closely at one of these - but if my memory isn't completely shot, are not these more commonly created from a pressed/stamped, flat piece of metal? This example has more dimension to it, and appears to have rounded-edges. Of course, NCO caps were never my interest - so my comment should only be heeded as simple conjecture, intended to spur on further discussion . . .

From what i see you have a classical original NCO strap,no problem…
I already had that type of buckles on straps .

Never really developed the proper amount of appreciation for the NCO caps . . .

Had time to do a quick search for myself - and it appears you are correct, Nick!
Seems like it took only a few minutes of looking at other NCO caps on this Forum to clear that one up . . .
