Odd looking textile (looks quite coarse, by the way), the trap should be checked and in an Army M43 cap I’d prefer it to be machine sewn to the cap , not a fan of the fonts of the marking, the size stamp needs to be compared with actual measurement, the buttonholes are pretty crudely made, the inside loops made of lining cloth on the edge of the earflaps seem to be lacking, the sewing thread to be tested. Too many details I’m concerned about.

I have encountered and owned made of the same material...mine was for sure a combat vet...and it was about 35 years ago..Billbert
