Dak cap: Is this a good one

Am I the only one who can see a couple of original soutache threads still sticking out of the fabric and some empty needle holes?
I think the original soutache was about 4mm higher up with the apex on the seam.

IMO, all the insignia has probably been re-applied post war.

It's pretty difficult to make any proper evaluation of the insignia application from these few photos. The cap itself is a one-looker. Not one of the photos show the full front of the cap. Agree with Ben and Chris that it appears the new green soutache is sewn lower than the original. The eagle and cockade are sewn correctly except that the cockade had to be folded to fit with the shortened green soutache.

Agree with Chris that some soutaches were changed in the factory and hand sewn. Sometimes these caps are marked with an F. Of course solders changed the soutache on their caps to get it right by hand sewing as well. But this is not the case with this cap.

While the members that found the cap independently may not wish to disclose the auction site. If they want other members to continue to help them they would be wise to answer if asked directly.
