Boxed visor cap named to Waffen SS General Friedrich von Eberstein
HI everyone. I too came across this visor. I called Affiliated Auctions just to ask some questions. When I questioned its origin and authenticity I was told told the visor passed the black light test - appeared to be authentic stitching. I was also told it was authentic decals. I'll be honest I'm pretty good at identifying helmets and such but visors I don't have much experience. Is this just a modern copy/replica they're trying to pawn off as an actual SS General's cap or is it an authentic WWII visor with modern/fake add-ons? Thanks for your help/input everyone.
