Hat might be ok--would like to see the piping joinders and under the hood shots.


Might just be the photo, but the piping seems a little fuzzy.
Also, I cannot recall seeing an ersatz sweatband in a Sonderanfertigung Mueller, but I learned long ago to never say never.

SS black visor caps are usually found with Deschler skulls and I've yet to see a period photo of one with any other type.

After 80 odd years however and numerous hands, who knows how many times these badges have been replaced.

Btw, Weitze has this special model example which is a better choice in my opinion.

RZM tag and no SS runes under the diamond.
Officers chin strap does not fit cap. 1941 dated skull insignia.
Ersatz leather sweatband. Fuzzy white pipeing.
Mid war A/ SS visor maybe. Lots of questions need to be answered.
Under the hood photos may well provide more clues.
