My first visor cap ! Made by Paul Kaps

    Hello

I wanted to share with you my first visor cap. Its an infantry visor cap made by Paul Kaps size 54, very small size. I am very happy with ! What do you think about it ? I have read that its a rare maker or a maker that people research. Is that true, do you have more informations about the maker ?

I hope you like it !

    Kind regards,
    Ben

    Hi Mr Pink,

Interesting cap, but you will probably get more replies if you post it in the Cloth Headgear forum:

Some good threads about Kaps’ output for your further information:

From these shots I like it and especially its unique bullion insignia (the tightly cropped wreath). Naturally, as requested by Carlo (Solo), if you post some more detailed images they will be welcome.

          Best regards

Simply beautiful! This one also has the typical Paul Kaps bullion wreath (and probably the cap band seam underneath0.

Welcome to the world of visor collectors - that's a great start!

              Nice hat....

The dealer brothers where you got the hat are very nice to buy from!

pin or moth hole on band...? Kaps usually was embroidered thru the band, this has trimmed backing...maybe their budget version?

Great cap, with the rare red lining (Holters is the only other maker I know of that also used a red lining).

There is a nice prewar Kaps with a leather visor and silver bullion wreath on MCI right now:

My favourite maker and the perfect combo of bullion wreath and metal eagle.
