Where, exactly , does this price com from? Is it just an arbitrary figure?
Unless a cap, this one, or others, can be confirmed as being once owned by a historic figure, the price seems insane to me.

Assuming that this is a good one, obviously a relative bargain.
I guess I should be thankful I have never fallen under the spell of the Totenkopf, and all things SS. Life's too short to to slog through all the fakes & frankies and multi thousand dollar insignia. I just don't get it, but, hey, suum cuique as they say.
