Its an Erel in basically mint condition, they are not cheap.

If you are able to pick it up you will not have the shipping agony one have when waiting for these to arrive and see if they survived the shipping

What’s a good price for this cap, you think?
Indeed, this is a very nice cap & hard to upgrade, but. it is STILL an artillery cap, which is not exactly rare.
With a current price of almost $ 1,000, it is very overpriced IMHO. To me, this is a $ 700-750 cap at most.

        Thanks for your response!

The price is 795€, sorry: it’s ca 925$
        Your right.

But still, is it that easy to find?

        Have you seen one recently?

Look on ebay or at other dealers! You have to wait a long time for one in this perfect texbook and mint condition. It's a fair price and for shure not expensive.

I just cannot agree that the price is fair, and I would not want to equate value with inflated dealer prices, where it's still 2007 on many sites.
Just my opinion; if you feel the price is fair, fine. No question that the cap is a great example, but would you get your money back if you had to sell it?

Schlange; could you be more specific regarding your thoughts around the IMO eagle being replaced?

                Kind regards

Eagle has different patina (looks older) in comparison to cockade.
Also chin chord is in different condition in comparison to cockade wreth.
And chin chord cap side button are zinc?

                  too high

In US , the price is way too high. Common waffenfarbe as Bob noted even though an Erel is fairly and I see them often at bigger shows $650-$750 US.

Well, I guess this cap looks like a bargain, compared to the one listed on Collectors Guild for $1329.

If I did not have 2 Arty caps from before I would buy this in a heart beat!
It is in great condition and it has the right saddle shape which is hard to find!

Can you find cheaper? maybe...but not with that killer shape!
A visor isnt just a visor...If it has the wrong shape it will look like **** nomatter which maker or condition.

And Schlange....All those 3 things are made from different materials and will patinate differently....As Jaqcues says you are making yourself look like a moron!

                        Cheers

                          Erel Heer Artillery visor

Thank you all, for your feedback!

At the moment I see that I can’t buy this cap.

I would very much love to add this visor into my collection.

I hope that some of you have the opportunity!

                          Again, thanks!

                          Kind regards

An Arty visor made by Erel, a Privat class, all bullion and in great condition with a minor blemish and under $1000 on a European site is a very good deal IMO. Heck... there's haggling room if necessary.

A $5 bagel in New York is a $1.75 in Hazard, Kentucky - & both signs say "Good Deal"

Can't quite agree with you on that one - and in my experience, me thinks "drbill" may have it right. Perhaps it's all about where your shoppin' . . . but at the end of the day, it's still a matter of opinion - what constitutes a good deal.

Always nice to have an Artillery officer visor or two by Erel lying about, and with the classic saddle shape as well for a lovely warm and fuzzy feeling....
