The piping looks crudely joined on the rear, and RB numbering can be a problem. With the poorly done heavy machine stitching of the eagle, I'd say post-war application and it's not possible to see with these photos if the eagle is good in the first place.

The gabardine wool looks good, but it's readily available. The partial sweatband and artificial silk liner material looks fine.

If the cap is original, I'd say it's been post-war dressed as an SS officer cap. So if cheap, I'd buy it for the cost of a low-end army M43 with a right to return.

Just my opinion.
