Looks like badge cloth to me, albeit a darker shade than usual, and it also shows the weave pattern.
uncommon, but it did exist.

It is original ,the badge is uncoman (not black) is dark green

A darker shade of dark green .
Put it beside a black cloth and you will see it dark...green !
