Opinions on Kavallerie officer cap August Muller

For me it is a good one in nice shape.
Early made with paper erzatz sweetband.

But we're never too carefull...

yep exactly, in euros it is 321...

I didn't think i'll win this one.
I thought it will go a bit higher, so i wonder if something i miss is wrong with this cap ?

Who was the seller on ebay? And what was in the description?

I know this hat was sold as a reproduction,the owner asked me for opinions on it before he sold it (as a reproduction)

If its a match, then he perfectly knew what he sold...

Who was the seller? I sold it as a fake about 6 months ago. It was part of a large collection with mixed inventory. Too bad the cap was fake, I sold it as such (unlike the other original items, obviously). The cap had a eagle too.

Why didn't you post for opinions before bidding?

Don't pay for it and say its a repro or make a claim once you get it!

From the seller's description, they seem very concerned about having their listing pulled so I bet that is why the eagle/swastika was removed.

Also, they do not explicitly state the hat is original. They also don't say it's a copy either. They put it in a gray area to let someone believe it's original without putting themselves on the hook.

Like i said, i was surprised to won the auction i tought i'll be easely outbided.

I don't post on Waf every item i bid on, only if i have a doubt.
Sometime i havn't, sometime i do...

A didn't think fake could go that far.

why? this one is offered as reproduction,if someone like it and know abaut why not ,thats not ebay.de ripp off offer ,honest seller.

Man, the prices people pay for these things.

If you want a nice repro for a decent price, I'm just about to list one on the estand.
