Heer M38 side cap?

Still learning a lot every day, but haven't even looked at side caps yet.

This has come up for sale locally, but the seller hasn't given me a price yet. I honestly am not sure if this is real, or what the value could even be. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It is an original Czech cap period changed for Wehrmacht service with added T insignia usually used on german mountain cap..and these reworked ones..They are not common nor uncommon..TOP DOLLAR retail is about 300 USD IMO...don’t go too deep..Billbert

The T-trap is original to the cap as used by the Germans during WW2. These caps and other Czech uniform items were pressed into service by the Wehrmacht after their occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938,
