Thanks! I tried to pay special attention to the stitching and also the way its cut also the cockade and eagle. The eagle and cockade look handstitched. But that seems to be normal or at least common.

Is it just me or is that actually a breast eagle? Might be just the angle of the picture... but it seems really big for a side cap..

It is quite a bit smaller than a breast eagle. However I will measure and compare here in a bit. More pics to come.

I took some comparison photos of the 3 Luftwaffe tunics I have. It appears the cap eagle is about 2.25” wide and the breast eagles seem to be about 3.25”...ish wide. The officers eagle seemed to be slightly smaller than the other ones but the angle of the photos seems weird.

The cap eagle is most definitely smaller than the breast eagle.

You got me convinced with overwhelming evidence. It must have been the picture.. or perhaps my eyesight.

You know I was looking at it today and it does seem to look larger on the first one I posted. Plus I always love an “excuse” to show off my stuff!!
