Looks like an arty to me too, nice one and different shade. If it's faded you should/could possibly find some original color at places that have not been in direct contact with the sun, f.i. at the upper backside of the side band that is covered by the top (?).
Schellenberg firm was situated in Berlin O 27, Alexanderstr. 40.

          Piping Color

          Revi,

I took your advice and looked under the rear of the visor body flap, where the piping does not receive direct sun light - the color is consistent with the rest of the cap, just a little brighter. I had my wife look at the two visors and unprompted, she answered that this one is orange. I'll have to have a pro look at it in person, but right now I think it is probably military police.

          Thanks everyone for your opinions/posts.

Back to looking for a panzer visor..........

            Another Visor with Same Color

            Hello,

I did locate some pictures of another visor with the same colored piping, IMO.
It is an officers version and labeled: German Army Military Police / Recruiting Officer visor cap. Orange-red piped cap for Military Police / Recruiting.

            Others thoughts/comments on it?

            Thanks,

            Paul

              orange

If it is an early hat I would call it a Werber/recruiter's hat as the Feldgendarmerie starts with the war beginning. Makes no difference realiy which or both that you want to call it.
