    Luft. Summer Flak Visor

    Hello,

I am just starting to collect visors. This Luftwaffe Summer Flak is my third. One of the first books I had on German memorabilia, as a kid, featured one of these and I always hoped to get one. I was fortunate to purchase it from a fellow forum member. It just arrived this week. I would appreciate any information on the visor, manufacturer, etc.

    Thanks,

    Paul

          TK, excellent score.
Your hat was made by Peter Küpper of Ronsdorf (aka Peküro).

Nice lid. Not sure why you call it a Flak visor? I see White Piping which is for the HG Division. Makes it a pretty rare visor. Congrats! Bob

Yes, a PeKuRo-made visor, retailed by George Feulner of Nurnberg:

Well, I see white piping. Either my eyes or my computer must be lying to me! Nice very scarce visor hat! Bob

You are seeing 'false' piping to the white top, the red piping is on the body of the hat. Here is a white piped summer visor for reference:

Glad you like it Paul. I didn't want to part with it but I don't need two. My keeper is an earlier example.

                            Thanks

Thank you gentlemen for the positive comments and information/links. Bob - it is flak, with red pipping around the body of the cap. You can see it to the left of the wreath in picture #1. I'll take a better picture and post it later.

I appreciate the information on the manufacturer (PekuRo), the retailer and their location. I can make it out better now in the band.

A big thank you to Frank for selling it to me. I feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase, wait for me is, a dream visor.

NOW I see the RED piping around the band. Obviously I was expecting to see the color around the top. My bad! My ignorance! I learned something so it's a good day! Bob
