That is a very generous assessment.

I don't need an opinion on its authenticity, but it's hilarious to count the number of people who like and dislike it. It's been on the same shelf for 17 years, prices have changed since then, that's the sole purpose of my publication.
I would not argue about its authenticity, especially in the face of childish arguments.

At any rate it would not be as valuable as one that was unquestionably original.

You should change your description to be factually accurate.

The specialists without arguments and the clowns are out?

This is my point of view:

I like the cap construction and black wool for the panzer cap. It also has very little nap wool which is very common to find on panzer cap.. But to see examples in books I would think they could of did it on a lot of examples.
when they made the cap it was two separate pieces that was basically top piece and bottom piece that is stitch together.
I still believe it was a way to save on materials and Possibly save some money too.
If it was the same material it would honestly look like any other m43.
they did was used a different material and possibly a thicker inside material.
As we know towards end of war press paper (cardboard) exposed bill.
The grey cotton rayon was mentioned in Michael D beaver assault personnel volume 2.
It actually a rare encounter but as mentioned, I talked to a very respected collector about this interior trying to get the manufacture name. I believe it starts with a M....
. That also looks like the stone grey cotton rayon material used in a number of interior panzer and assault wraps.
                    Which basically confirms it originality
I can not remember the company name but they used that material on their interior liner.
                    From the start of 1940.
Which was well known company in the Third Reich.
                    It a lovely cap

It would be wise to heed the advice of Mr. Singer, Lenny, OSS, and Glenn.
