      Appears original but the gold toned chin cord buttons are incorrect. Also strikes me as an enlisted cap "upgraded" with an officer chin cord and wrong buttons.

      There are legit examples of issue caps being converted by officers, but I'm skeptical about that with this one.

          Agree. It's a pekuro EM lining. A lot of repairs make it hard to judge. I'd say an original upgrade.

                      Without provenance you will never know when the cap is upgraded to officer!
                      Could be waretim could be postwar upgraded.
