    Unusual fur-flapped cap just received

I just purchased this "out-of-the-woodwork" cap the likes of which I have never seen before. I do plan to sell it, as I don't collect hats. It appears to be a combination fur-flapped field cap with a tanker helmet hard frame completely surrounding the sides. The cap appears unissued and has a Wehrmacht eagle/swastike metal emblem sewn onto the front. Thought I'd share photos of this unusual find. I believe it is real, but have never seen one before. John

Yes, very rare. Have only seen 3 others so far, in 30+ years.

Very nice. I have one without the Panzer Beret liner. I substituted a BW liner. The fur hat isn't that sought after but the liner can be used to complete a Panzer beret.

I had 2 from a show I got for 150 each, sold for 2300 each, but they had Panzer insignia, Hoffman was the maker on one of them, that was maybe 16 yrs ago or so.
