It does have a very good chance but the chincords don’t have anything to do with a Schutzpolizei officers’ visor hat. They maybe Forestry, Customs or even West German police ... dunno, I haven't check it, actually.
The eagle is obviously missing, the flat, early cockade may be a replacement. I wish I could check in hand the sweatshield and see a better pic of the maker’s logo. In spite of the cheap Alkor sweatband and the worn out interior, it still could be got back in shape a little.

But it could be a chance to grab it for little money (if a conveniently low bid price permits).
