    3 caps from Thies auction

    Hello,

I have acquired 2 visors and one OS cap from last Thies auction.

I could receive them only by today. Based on the negative General crusher cap from same auction and same collection and having them now on hand I would appreciate very much your input on those items.

I will put up pictures without my judging

    Thank you

    Christian

I can not make any pic under the hood as the sweatband is very dry, stiff and brittle and I don't want to damage it..

What is with all the exposed stitching around the piping at he bottom of the cap in post 3? Also the wrinkling at the front of the bottom cap (second visor) above the flatwire cocade and the liner is a mess on the second visor imo. J

                            Hello Jaques,

the two wrinkles on the crusher cap are made by the manufacturer.
I can feel trough the liner that both this areas are much thicker. Feels like the cloth as pulled and sewn together at those places.

                            Regards
                            Christian

I also think the the manufacturing of the first visor is a bit wonky. It is also a late war cap, looking at the piping texture and color. J
