    M-43 Cap ?

    Gentlemen
I was given this cap yesterday and wondered if it was Heer, BGS, Polizei or something else?
    Kind regards Chay

Those black rimmed resin buttons appear to be forestry...so probably West German Forestry IMO...The wool collar is also typical for Wald...
Compare! War time forestry caps have a lighter green piping but also used identical buttons war time.
Not sure about post war variants but to make sure you can ask WAF member FoersterBerlin who posts in the civilian section of the forum...

The tweed cap is most likely British-made for POW's in Britain lol.

It was also an interior option in the 1974 ford pinto
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

The inner stitching parallel to the visor edge, the full lenght sweatband and the diamond shaped sweatshield (that used to be) are distinguishing features of postwar M43-style caps 99% of the times.
