Panzer M43 Cap - Opinion needed.

    Hey guys...

Can I get an opinion on this...as well as a REALISTIC value I should be paying if legit, as I see the prices all over the place.

    TIA

Interesting cap. Pink piping around the top like that is not seen very often. I can not recall seeing it on a beyond doubt Panzer M43 with such piping.

Could it be some sort of Fire Police ? Is it even a good cap ?

Clearer, close-up images of the critical areas is needed before more can be said.

It has got a chance of being something. That is a rare version of the trap in Panzer black or Fire Police dark blue but how is it sewn on ?

        Hey Chris...

What area would you need clearer images of?

Button hole flap front and back. Pull the whole flap down and show any bias materials and the back seam.

Clearer image of the liner material and any remains of a maker stamp/ size stamp.

          Regards,

          Chris

A Fire Brigades M43 field cap would have a fabric with a blue hue, this one looks pitch black. And the piping should be of a more reddish shade, this appearing a faded, light pink (if need be, inner areas of the piping shoukd be checked for the original color). Either a doctored Feuerwehren cap or an exceedingly rare pink-piped Panzer M43, this specimen doens't win me over.
