    Deutsche Wertarbeit Arwa Heer Jager

    Good evening Gents,

I know there's a good Thread going about Deutsche Wertarbeit visors, but I wanted to run a separate one here to show a reasonably scarce one I picked-up this week.

The nice thing about this cap is that it hasn't been embellished with the addition of an edelweiss to turn it into a Gj officer.

Here's an Artillery EM/NCO that bears the same DW logo, Arwa disk, gold lining, and slate grey doeskin body. The biggest difference between the two caps is the color of the underside of the visor. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...highlight=arwa

Thanks for looking and all feedback is appreciated.

    Regards!

    Bob

Consistent soiling to the sweatband and moderate crazing to the visor.

This sweatband and lining are identical to Frans' hat in the attached link.

Sweatband is originally stitched and lining shows a tight tack along its edge with flat pleats and only slight deterioration.

Slight tracking at the rear of the cap band and in the "armpit".

Undamaged top, but sadly fragged out logo.

One interesting feature of this cap is that it feels and sounds like there is a full thin celluloid barrier between the lining of the overhang and crown and wool of the top. It makes a crinkly sound when you handle it.

          Thanks for looking.

            Very nice cap, Waffenreich!

I have a similar version, yet it is made by CW . . . and proves itself to be a real conundrum - as it would certainly fit the description of "Jaeger" . . . yet bears a name-tag assigned to someone from a GJR regiment.

Somewhere there is a listing of the ARWA #s and what maker they correspond to--hopefully, they will come to light in the near future, and we can finally learn who this mystery maker is.
