          If your question was about originality, I would lean towards -- but there are others more knowledgable than me on side caps... Kurt

            The eagle appears to be an original lower ranks bird but the cockade is a reproduction. The cap itself does not look like a war-time example to me.

              I am on the fence about this on..some things I like..some not so much..hard to say for sure but it also appears to have at one time had a soutache..Billbert
