You'll also notice that in the photo in post #1, the (red) felt in the center of the cockade is the same color as the piping.

Clearly, the color in some of the photos is distorted and reds are showing up orange.

You may be correct. I did originally claim it to be artillery. But in the outdoor pic I took, the roundel is red but piping still looks orange. The brightest orange seems to be in the back area that clearly has no fading. I'm going to have to try to get better pics so we a draw final conclusion. Thank you for your input.

I suggest taking an outside picture with a tomato and and orange... that should eliminate all doubts
