The black cardboard is made of a flexible material like seen in other Alte Art caps.

I do not understand your question regarding the stuff in post No. 4 - i just cannot see what you want to know. Please mark it on the pic.

It is not cardboard at all like you would see in a regular visor cap.. It is the identical material as the leather visor cap I have posted in my thread. It is a treated [with a type of black tar] woven cloth which is made to be bent and flexed just as you would expect in a crusher. Material is 100% correct for this style cap and in my opinion, it is a true crusher.
