    Gebirgsjaeger Bergmutze

    Hi,
Could anyone please let me know if this cap is genuine or not. Caps are definitely an unknown area to me and from what information I can find about caps like this one it appears to be a post war cap.....but I just don't know. It has been offered as WW2 but I cannot believe that it is. Could anyone please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Terry.

      cap

The Edelweiss looks WW 2 but the cap is 100% Bundeswehr.

I believe the originals have 5 mounting holes, this one only has 4.

Sorry, I meant that it has the close appearance of an original but the whole thing is BW.

Yes it is with the curved stem
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Classical BW cap with post war BW or Austrian BH Edelweiss , not the same form as WW2 ...Upper flower leave is much longer than the WW2 ones !
