    Hat Maker - need assist

    Hi All -

    Looking for any information on a German Hut-Geschaft by the name of Georg Keilkopf of Ebersbach / Fils.

    In going through one of my father's footlockers I have stumbled across a beautiful but small hat box with this makers name on the top. Inside the box is a most gorgeous black satin/silk pop-up Top Hat. Actually there are 2 Top Hats found in this locker but one comes from the man my father was named after.

    Will post pics tomorrow if you would like to see.

    Lovely name for a hat maker. Keilkopf = wedge head.

      Here is the proper spelling on the top of the box and some photos. Wondering if anyone (marcello) has any history on this guy as to when they were in business????

      Now I know this isn't TR related but perhaps, just maybe, this actually belonged to high ranking Official!!!!

          Very nice marking/stamp on the inside and the underside of the box says 25.- don't know if that's DM or RM?

              Thanks Marcello for looking - it's always a great feeling to be surprised by these kind of finds. Everyone should go into their back rooms and see what they really have!
