A good TENO officer visor hat?

When I saw this in an email, I thought that it was a Reichsbahn visor hat with the wrong insignia.
Now I am thinking that it must be a TENO officer with the wrong insignia.
The visor itself is some kind of cheap plastic ersatz substitute of some kind???
    I don't know.
Mostly, I am going to show you a whole bunch of pictures and see what you think.
I bought it on a chance that it was a Reichsbahn but I can live with TENO.
    Thanx,
    Tim

                  It's an EREL SONDERKLASSE.
The piping seems to be a subdued grayish metallic aluminum bullion or something.
                  Any help would be appreciated.
                  Thanx,
                  Tim

The TN officers made by Erel I have seen all had bullion eagles/wreaths--those are going to be very difficult to find loose (and matching), and will probably cost as much as the hat.

STONEMINT is correct..and since metal insignia has already been applied..an economy restoration though not technically GRADE RANK CORRECT would be metal
Just document the correct condition and you're as good as you're gonna get with this LATE WAR EREL TENO..Billbert

Authentic cap for sure and quite rare but not very sought after.
Especially since the insignia which were probably stunning hand embroidered are long gone.
So many busy little post war fingers removing badges to sew on their bikers jackets!

                              Gentlemen,
Three things about these metal insignia on TENO Officer's Hats vs. Embroidered insignia.

                              1-http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677228&highlight=TENO+Officer+hat

Consensus was that the metal insignia was original to the hat!!??!

2.First picture -a TENO Officer for sale, right now, by the RUPTURED DUCK

3.Second Picture - My hat. Closeup of the area where an embroidered eagle would have been sewn on, unless my eyes deceive me or I am a dummy, (Possible!) shows no outline of any stitching having ever been done. I haven't tried to take the cockade off to examine that area.

Maybe this hat was taken from the factory and never had an eagle & cockade applied???

I was going to look for the right insignia but maybe I'll just throw the thing on the E-Stand for a $1000 or best offer and see what happens.
The Duck is asking $2150 for their's. I amsure they would come down some but who knows???

                              Thanx,
                              Tim
