The very poor quality of the workmanship would leave me in doubt. Just the poor stitching on of the trap is bad enough to avoid this piece IMO.

I agree. I have a similar M43 (as regards the material), that was blessed when I posted it years ago. The only unique feature is the officer quality eagle on the trap. Here are a few pictures of mine. Regards Jim
