The above photo arrived from German E-Bay. My scan of the picture is not much better. Looking at the picture in hand with a magnifying glass I would say that the uniforms look like they might be newly issued, all very clean and new looking.
As in other photos of the KM tropical uniform that I have viewed so far, there doesn't seem to be much evidence of trade patches or even awards being worn (aside from this NCO), for whatever reason. Perhaps the tropical dress was regarded as some kind of 'work dress' without the need for the full insignia complement?
Also, noticed one man standing behind the NCO with the German Cross is wearing jackboots with his shorts - 'fashion fail' !
