They are not all green waffenfarbe.

I need confirmation but think two infantry regiments where amalgamated with GBR and retained their white waffenfarbe.

Nice hats, all.

This is a hat I used to own.
The eagle was always high (no extra holes).
As such, it is my opinion that the haberdasher just used what was at hand, and he must have been out of GJ visors that day, so PzG piping fit the bill:
